Dr. Woodmansee tells me his experience has gone way beyond what he thought was the life of a chiropractor after he graduated 14 years ago from Parker College of Chiropractic, one of the oldest chiropractic colleges in the nation.  “I started out running the in-house clinic at England Trucking, and was there for 7 years,” says Dr. Woodmansee.  He handled all the workers compensation claims, physicals, health issues, and back problems on employees and truck drivers.  “I also saw blood clots, cancer, strokes, flesh eating bacteria, and all sorts of things that most chiropractors never see.”   Dr. Woodmansee says those experiences helped his diagnostic skills, beyond what he learned in chiropractic school.  “It enables me to correctly diagnose health issues unrelated to the spine, sometimes missed by other doctors.   In fact, he says, ER doctors, oncologists, and other specialists have called him to talk to him about patient diagnosis often relating to serious health problems.

Dr. Woodmansee says he loves the holistic approach to the body that chiropractic teaches.  “The human body is like an amazing machine, capable of healing itself when everything is properly in place,” says Dr. Woodmansee.   “However, there are many times when patients come to me with serious health issues I can’t treat, such as infections, broken bones, deep brain injuries - things like that.  In these cases, I will always make sure and refer my patients to a professional that I would trust my own family with.”  

And, Dr. Woodmansee says his patients respond to his approach, and refer others.  “My patients keep referring friends and family,” he says. “In fact, patient referrals are my largest source of new patients.”  

One more thing:  Dr. Woodmansee says he works to stay on top of new information and groundbreaking advances in his field, travelling all over the country several times a year to attend seminars and classes to keep him at the state of the art.  In fact, he is one of the few chiropractors in the state certified in Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP), a relatively new technique that Dr. Woodmansee says has a very high success rate in fully restoring correct curvatures of the spine and neck from scoliosis or injury, without a brace.
