“The most important need is having a roof over your head.”
– Keith Yorgason, Co-Owner, American Roofing Company
Our investigation revealed American Roofing Company has been putting a roof over the heads of their customers since 1954. Specializing in replacing, repairing, and maintaining all types of roof systems on all building sizes, co-owner Keith Yorgason tells us American is known as one of Utah’s oldest and most respected roofing contractors in the state.
“We take pride in being able to deliver a quality product to our customers that will last for years and years,” says Keith. “People are concerned about the long term performance of their roof and the warranty. Any warranty is only as good as the company. We’ve been here so long our customers are confident that we will maintain the warranty.”
Keith and his brother Brent share equal ownership of American Roofing Company, and the brothers believe the reason for their longevity is because they have a well established reputation in the Utah roofing industry. “We discovered that the more you have a good, reputable business, the more we were rewarded for that,” recalls Keith. “Most of our business is from referrals. We do multiple roofs for the same customers and then for their children. Over the years, we’ve grown in a wise way.”
Keith tells us American Roofing Company stands apart from other companies not only because they take pride in their workmanship, but also because they’re certified to install a wide variety of products. “We are certified as one of the approved applicators with several major roofing companies and suppliers,” says Keith. “So we don’t push one particular product over the other, because that’s what we’re certified to install. We can offer a dozen or so options for people to look at, with warranties.”
Whether you need to replace or repair the roof for your home or for your business, Keith tells us they can do it all. “We are a full fledged commercial and residential roofer,” says Keith. “We do a lot of both, which is a good balance in terms of where we are in the marketplace. I don’t know any other contractors in the state with that kind of balance.”
When we investigated American Roofing Company, we noted that this company has been accredited with the Better Business Bureau since 1988. The Better Business Bureau gives them an A+ rating, because of the length of time they’ve been operating and because no complaints have been filed against them over the last three years. Not only that, three customers took the unusual step of submitting a positive review of American Roofing Company with the BBB. “We’re the oldest roofing company that has remained with BBB,” says Keith.
“We work every day to keep our customers happy.”

My brother Brent and I each own 50% of company. We have six of our children working here.”
“We’re pleased that we’re communicating the same values and ethics to our children, who will continue the business when we retire. We’ve put in place an organization that will be successful and serve the community for years to come.”
